When In Dubai why not check out some of city’s famous archaeological sites at Al Ghusais, Al Sufooh and at Jumeirah. Some parts of the sites date back 2000 years, while others concern themselves from around the 7th -15th centuries. Despite not being open to the public, permits can be obtained from DUBAI MUSEUM. Also in Dubai we have the old Bastakiya district, famous for its narrow streets and windtowers and can be found east of Al Fahidi Fort, the area is currently under going rejuvenation into a tourist village, complete with museum, restaurants, art gallery and cultural centre. Of course no mention of Dubai tourism is complete without mentioning Sheikh Saeed's House, the original function of the Sheikh’s abode was to view his kingdom’s shipping.
